I have no idea why Eco-88 works so much better than all the other stain/smell removing products - and I think I've tried them all - but it really does. I've used it on my rug and on the bottom of my upholstered sofa and poof! all the yuckiness is gone. It doesn't leave its own gross smell behind nor does the original smell return. Worth the cost and I'm reordering!
